Grab a bite to eat at one of downtown Sacramento’s many new restaurants!

Every time I go downtown there is a new restaurant to try! The K Street mall has some new hot spots, and there’s something for everyone…from sushi to Mexican to Italian! For amazing Thai, you must try Thai Basil on J Street….for pizza with an attitude, try Pizza Rock on K Street, and for a traditional English breakfast, stop by Fox and Goose Pub on R Street!

Go wine tasting in Amador County!

In my opinion, Amador is so much better than Napa! The tastings are free, the people are friendly, and the wine is great! When it’s 100+ in Sacramento, head up to the foothills for a sip of wine and some cooler weather! My favorites are Cooper Vineyards and Dillian! Yum!

Catch an Indie flick at the Tower Theater!

There are some great movies that are hard to find in theaters across Sacramento…and the Tower Theater has several of them. Make it a date and have dinner at Tower Cafe and catch a hard to find movie!

Take a day trip up to Lake Tahoe!

Lake Tahoe is hands down one of my favorite places on Earth! It’s great to visit during any season, but fall is my favorite season to go. The winter and summer crowds have slowed and the leaves are turning. Well worth a visit!

Take your kids to the Sacramento Children’s Museum

The museum is a great place where children are encouraged to think for themselves, expand their problem-solving abilities through creative exploration, and exercise both their bodies and their minds.

Try one of Sacramento’s many Escape Rooms / Puzzle Rooms!

My friends and I have started an addiction to these Escape Rooms! You’re “locked” inside a room for an hour and need to use clues around the room to make your way out! Google ‘Escape Rooms Sacramento’ or PM me if you want my favorites as I’m sure my list will constantly change! There’s usually a Groupon floating out there for at least one!!
